Selamat Bulan Ramadhan kepada semua rakan-rakan Muslim dan juga rakan-rakan yang ingin berpuasa bersama-sama di Bulan Ramadhan ini. Setiap tahun Ramadhan, soalan yang di tanya-tanya ialah pergi mana untuk buka puasa? Bagi aku, di rumah, masakan ibu atau isteri ialah cadangan yang paling bagus tapi letih juga mereka yang memasak.
Jadi, banyak restoran-restoran dan hotel-hotel memperkenalkan pakej atau bufet buka puasa yang cukup menarik pilihan masakan dan juga harga yang berpatutan. Sekali-sekala buka puasa dekat hotel bolehlah juga, kan?
Tiga minggu sebelum Bulan Ramadhan, aku telah dijemput untuk merasa masakan yang akan dapat di nikmati dalam Promosi Jom Berbuka Puasa Ramadhan di Pearl yang bermula dari 21 Julai hingga 17 Julai 2012.

Aku mula dengan ulam dan salad.

Aku suka minum sup. Jadi, Sup Ekor Lada Hitam menjadi pilihan aku. Aku suka rasa sup ini yang tidak begitu masin berbanding dengan yang aku minum to restoran yang lain.

Masakan-masakan dalam promosi ini akan disediakan oleh Exekufi Sous Chef Noor Hisham dengan krew dia.

Ini ialah kali pertama aku mencuba Nasi Beriani Gam. Biasanya, aku makan nasi beriani saja yang tak ada gam. =P

Kalaulah makan Nasi Beriani Gam, mesti makan dengan Daging Beriani Batu Pahat. Aku juga suka Gulai Kambing Kawah yang rasa kambing yang tidak di sukai ramai orang telah di ganti dengan rasa rempah-rempah yang sangat bersesuai di masak dengan daging kambing.

Untuk yang suka makan ikan, adanya Ikan Bakar Tepian Tebrau. Aku ingat Chef Noor Hisham mesti orang Johor. Banyak masakan berasal dari tempat-tempat di Johor.

Ayam panggang yang mesti dapat di cari di bazaar-bazaar Ramadhan.

Di sini, aku juga dapat buat buat sotong dan kangkung sendiri.

Buka puasa tak ada ketupat dan lemang memang rasa tak sedap. Makan dengan salai ayam.d

Buat Laksa Johor sendiri, suka letak banyak sikit bawang dan taugeh? Oh, bisa.

Bukan main banyak jenis pilihan pencuci mulut yang di sediakan. Tapi perut aku boleh muat beberapa jenis saja. Yang paling aku suka ialah Sago Melaka. Sago itu bila to gigit akan menjadi sebiji-sebiji dan bukan berkelompak macam makan kuih.

Witness and experience the sight on the streets happening in Chatz Brasserie as it unfolds a new concept to entertain and serve diners with the adaptation of hawker style buffet line this Ramadhan. Being in the restaurant, you might get caught in the moment as you watch the chefs showing off their skills in preparing the dishes. Or with all the food choices available, you simply don’t know where to begin!

If you’re such a big eater, why not start with the main dishes set which happens to be one of the highlights of the Ramadhan buffet feast? There’s the mild and not-so-spicy gulai lemak telur itik if you fancy duck eggs, chow down the juicy and tender beef chunks of kurma kerbau, or if you a poultry lover, opt for the perfectly spiced and sweet ayam percik Iftar. Savour them with acar Kedondong or acar buah to further add flavours to your rice meal.

Fancy some ikan or kerang bakar? At the local grilled fish and cockles station, there are assorted ikan bakar and cockles marinated with the restaurant’s delicious homemade sauce. Pick your selection of sauces to go with them from sos asam, sos kicap pedas, sos cili Thai to Kalasan Sauce. We recommend that you dip your selection of grilled fish with sos asam and the wrapped cockles with the sos cili Thai to heighten the taste of the grilled seafood.

If you crave for another form of carbohydrates, look for the famous noodles station where they serve the prawn mee and curry laksa. With mouth-watering soup, finely chopped and sliced condiments and tempting aroma, it will remind you of the noodles you usually have on the streets. Add in the prawn sambal if you prefer your noodles to be a little bit spicy.  

At the Carvery station, check out the BBQ whole lamb stall. Although it needs a little bit more of seasoning, you can still enjoy the tender meat with its tasty mushroom and mint sauce. The black pepper sauce is good too, but the mushroom sauce is still the best!

For dim sum lovers, don’t forget to take a bite of the steamed jade dumpling, steamed har kau or fried swee kau. These delicious bite-sized food along with its chilly and soy sauce dips are definitely not to be missed out from the menu.

No point of enjoying the meals without the right drink. This Ramadhan, Chatz Brasserie is offering a special beverage known as Chatz air janda pulang. Even though it sounds a little bizarre, it’s actually made from fresh coconut water with palm sugar syrup. Sweet and delicious, it makes the perfect thirst quencher after a long day of fasting.  

Desserts lovers, spare your sweet tooth for various kinds of desserts such as the bubur kacang hijau Durian. One of the highlights for the Ramadhan buffet, this special bubur is actually quite tasty and best of all, it doesn’t have that overwhelming durian smell. Other desserts options for you to have a go at are definitely the sago gula Melaka, passion fruit moussecake and kuih seri muka to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Festival Grounds Guide Map: This easy-to-use map provides a systematic route guide to various facilities within the festival grounds. The map also contains a list of all exhibitors and facilities (food & beverage, drink pits, first aid centre, toilets etc.) available.

Strategically located information booths within the festival grounds provide specific information on products, display and other information.

There will be sufficient signages placed within the festival grounds to guide visitors through the park and displays with ease.

First-aid staff will be on duty throughout the opening hours of the festival. Seating: Seats and benches will be provided throughout the festival grounds.

There are several F&B outlets throughout the festival grounds. Only HALAL certified caterers will be serving food and beverages during the festival.

The offices of the Organiser are located at a centralised zone at the festival grounds near the main entrance.
